Its night vision scope-eyes have the ability to detect opponents up to 1 km away in the dark, so it can approach and ambush them from behind. Because Owlmon's fundamental characteristic is "Scouting" rather than "Combat", its offensive power is not great, but it excels in ninja-like strikes that utilize the darkness. Its Special Move is approaching the opponent from behind under the cover of darkness, then swooping down on them with its talons (Midnight Clutch).
