A Holy Dragon Digimon that resides in Ryūshōgu, an oceanic area in the eastern Digital World where beautiful crystals grow. Using the cloth wrapped around its body and its ability to manipulate seawater, it is able to create ocean current gates that can transport anyone anywhere, and it is impossible to reach the secluded region of Ryūshōgu without riding the ocean currents generated by Shagaramon. Since it has the duty of banishing any Digimon that disturbs the peace in Ryūshōgu upon arriving there, Shagaramon has been entrusted as the gatekeeper of Ryūshōgu by Ryugumon. The Digimon responsible for gatekeeping alongside it include Hangyomon and Mermaimon, and Shagaramon has the additional role of supervising the other gatekeepers. It also has the ability to fly in the air, and can occasionally be seen soaring gracefully through the skies above Ryūshōgu's waters. Its Special Moves are creating a huge wave-like fan and hurling it at the opponent (Rōtō Sen), and detonating small spheres of compressed seawater (Kankai Sakusōjin). Finally, its "Sōten Ryūjinga" devours the opponent with a dragon made from seawater.
